There are those who felt a tremendous embarrassment about Britt’s pathetic rebuttal. What’s more important though, is that Biden delivered a fiery speech. As they say, the proof is in the pudding, he and Harris have been delivering progress based on promises they made with energy, climate, and manufacturing. I loved that he referenced his age as using new ideas instead of old ones. Change is coming in spite of Putin’s puppets and it’s going to be great!
Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA), I loved it too that he went head on at the topic of age and thought it was brilliant of the speechwriter or whomever to reframe it as old ideas vs new ideas. It was perfect because it not only described President Biden positively with specific admirable characteristics but it tied the undesirable characteristics of old thinking/ideas directly to the R's and the former guy. Take that, Dark Brandon is in the House!

The bond holders could end up with dozens of pieces of Trump's empire and they sure as heck won't leave his name on them. If he's still alive when that happens he will never recover.

"The party they once knew" is a true fallacy. The GOP of the 50s and 60s was a stringent white right-wing party which put on a good "face" but they were as closed to blacks and other people of color and gays and women as were conservative supper clubs of that era.
The only real difference I see between the GOP of the 50s-70s and the MagaTs of today is that today no one is even worried about just coming out and boldly calling for racism and fascism. "Deport the libs". No one said that back in the 50s, but believe me, they all believed it and wanted it.
