I have to say that your education was FAR superior to mine, at least regarding History!! How nice that Oregon History included the law excluding Black people. As I said, my North Carolina History class did mention that there was something called slavery, but it ended over 100 years ago, so it didn't matter any more. (This was one year after "integration" began. "Integration" meant that the Black students had their own classrooms and teachers, and we white students had OUR own classrooms and teachers.) P.S. I'll add to your comment: if you stop learning, you might as well be dead.
