I greatly appreciate your calm and reasoned efforts to put events into context -- but, damn, sometimes I find it painful to read. That's on them, though, not on you. Thank you, Prof. Richardson.

We're getting new definitions of corruption, criminality, lawlessness.

We're also getting Heather at her prime, her peak, her much-needed best.

She nails the convicted criminal in the White House for his obvious resort to violence -- dangerous, dangerous violence -- scorning anything like any evidentiary need for that violence. He just wants to ride Israeli fellow criminal Bibi's coattails when violence, war, and hatred of Muslims might be paying off as theater for him.

And she locates this resort to thuggery in history:

"Republican dominance politics began in the 1950s as a way to prevent the federal government from protecting Black and Brown civil rights. Since then, it has reinforced the idea of asserting power through violence."

This is so vital, as in her next para she reminds us of the unlawful violence the criminal in the White House and his fellow U.S. thugs have been committing against immigrants. No law. No due process. No legal procedures. Just amped up everything heinous from our most depraved Republican past and blatant dictatorship for the short-fingered vulgarian.
