They, their teetotal Delirium Tremens, the MAGA movement and their operatives, in Congress, in state houses up and down the country, in the judiciary, all the way down from the Supreme Court, all left off hiding their plans and came out into the open on January 6th 2021—the putsch that failed—since which date we have had something surely new to the world, a permaputsch, day in, day out, smoldering under our feet like a peat fire.
Now the chessmen (and woman) on the Supreme Court have prepared the ground for the form of presidency in place for the past 234 years to be replaced by a form of monarchy not seen since the 17th century, show every sign of planning the establishment of a State religion, contrary to the 1st Amendment, are ensuring that ordinary citizens may use bump stocks to make their semi-automatic firearms fully automatic, while a lesser colleague is doing her damnedest to ensure that a proven security risk of the vastest proportions stays Scot free to sell the country to his mentor in the Kremlin or the highest bidder.
And all that’s only for starters, nor do we know much about who’s been planted in the higher echelons of the Services and all the organizations responsible for citizens’ wellbeing and safety. We know only that there are to be no more citizens, only “subjects” and inequality-before-the-Lawyers, and that the population is to be divided into four castes:
- Ultra-oligarchs
- Those males who do their bidding
- Females (Handmaids)
- (On sufferance) those needed to do dirty work that no one else is willing to take on.
- All others to be rounded up, placed in concentration camps and expelled from the US… or otherwise disposed of.
This and innumerable other goodies for the higher echelons of the pecking order and punishments for those whose skin is the wrong color, whose sexual preferences are forbidden or whose features are deemed substandard.
