This country won't elect a woman president. Elect Joe, and if he wishes or must he can then pass the torch into capable hands. Problem solved, no hysterics required (other than to sell papers and fill cable content).

Yes, but the terrifying truth is that Biden will NOT win! The swing voters he relied on in 2020 will not come out for him. I agree with you that he has been a great president and yet his approval ratings are in the low 30th. They are because of his age!!! That has not gotten any better since the debate debacle where it became so clear for everybody to see that Biden is in cognitive decline. That is the reality!
The sky is not falling. Young voters have discovered Project 2025 despite the corporate media, and they are ready to mobilize. It is our job to make sure no one forgets in the next four months. Chin up. There is indeed reason to worry, but best to turn your fears into fighting. All is not lost until we say it is.

I share your concerns, Tanja. The majority here are trying to just hold out for a few more months and hope that Biden finishes strong. With some good press on what the Biden Administration has done and continues to do, maybe he will. (I would cancel the second debate, however.)
I would like to know how you envision any other candidate than Biden beating trump. Changing candidates now — no matter who it is — will piss a lot of people off. I don’t see how unity around another candidate will. At least with Biden we have a great track record to run with. If Biden can’t finish another four years we Harris backing him up.
