Thank you for this post! Perfect timing because I'm going to to a town hall meeting held by my House rep and other local leaders re: the impact of the "one big beautiful budget bill" on county residents, especially healthcare.

Given what I do for a living now and knowing what's coming -- unless political winds shift enough despite gerrymandering, voter suppression and, possibly, tampering w/ voting machine software (we'll know once discovery's done in the Rockland County, NY case) -- higher health care costs + a recession larger than 2008, which means I might need to find another line of work. I'm in my late 60s.

Fragile people who rely on continuity of access to the healthcare they need are potentially going to die. Look for your state to call it a "restructuring" of Medicaid in media reports. Translation: Budget cuts lead to musical chairs for patients and staff. Some -- those who are more fragile medically or psychiatrically -- who get left out without a chair don't survive. That's the cold hard reality. So, if you have fragile ones in your life, please keep this in mind and provide as much support as you can.

My tax dollars going to this administration makes me nauseated. What will it take to get more Americans to pay attention??

Today (or any day) in GOP Land, we have a fabricated Beyoncé scandal, a billion-dollar "free" plane, and a skewed timeline of Epstein's activities that reads like fan fiction. It seems that their platform is now entirely based on feelings, a sense of victimhood, and whatever nonsense appeared on Trump's social media feed that morning.

Now is our moment—take action against this harmful government. Covering up a pedophile ring. Ignoring court orders. Blatant corruption. The poor, the needy, and children are being abused—by our government. In the streets we must protest outright crooks and the pedophiles until after their shooting us starts, until we go down or we oust tyrants. I made 54 protest signs, and will make many more to share. You will see something different in these signs! Help yourself to this second batch, and share them as far as you can.

Rolling Stone reported yesterday about a poll conducted by Impact Research, the pollster used by Democratic presidential candidates, which finds that in key congressional districts the majority of people see the Democrats rather than the Republicans and Trump as the more corrupt. It's astonishing given the reality of Trump's various self-enrichment projects - the Qatari plane, the crypto schemes and memecoins, the hawking of bibles, golden sneakers, watches, medallions, guitars etc. etc. He's even suing Amazon and EBay for hawking knock-off versions of his stupid MAGA hats. Is it possible that Americans have now become irreversibly stupid and what does this mean for the midterms and the future of American democracy?

The question we must ask every day, how can a corrupt, incompetent, twice impeached, convicted more than 30 times by jury, become president of the United States. Did the constitution framers forgot to put any qualification requirements or guardrails? Are there any requirement of the holder of the most powerful office in the world? What the hell is wrong? The guard rails, if any, were removed by the Republican senate, congress, supreme court 6/3 majority, Federalist Society, Heritage Foundation, Alec, Mega Churches, and Echo system? That is why I call them foot soldiers of the Trojan Horse which has Hijacked our democracy. They are the firewall behind this reckless incompetent man. So, first defeat them all one at a time, nationwide. Our only option, to save our democracy. Start in your local district and brandish their misdeed as republicans responsible for what is happening in Washington. Start small group in neighborhoods and spread into nationwide movement.

Sounds like MAGA is going to attempt a defined 3rd party . Maybe the true Republicans will wake up and smell the coffee... BEFORE drinking it all✌️♥️🇺🇸☕

I do not understand why Beyoncé, Harris and a whole series of other people have not sued Trump personally in state civil court for billion dollars. Especially somebody like Beyoncé can definitely sue him for that amount of money and close to $100 million in the New York case does not shut him up he keeps defaming people. You should probably have 100 cases activated in every blue state at the civil level, suing him for sum of money, $100 million to $1 billion just for a defamation.

Instead, he is suing everybody else for defamation.

I just feel this needs to get told more in public, because I don’t understand why it is not happening now
