I trust that the DOJ will review the files on Trump about as far as I could throw an elephant 🤦‍♀️

Be LOUD. These are unprecedented times and we deserve WAY better 💔🤍💙

Use/share this spreadsheet (bit.ly/Goodtrouble) to contact members of Congress, the Cabinet and news organizations. Call. Write. Email. Protest. Unrelentingly.

Reach out (beyond your own) to as many in the Senate and House as you can. All of this is bigger than “I only represent my constituents” issues.

I love the part where President Bill Clinton said, “...America was built upon the idea that no person is above the law, even Presidents—especially Presidents.” He was pointing to the concept of a Republic. I am being loud in my Memorandum, which includes poster size downloads to share the web page where I say in part, “John Adams was the primary author of the new Constitution of Massachusetts (1780). He framed a grant of powers from the people to a government but separated the power to govern among three separate branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. Thus, no branch had enough power to become a tyrant: a king. In Article 30, he made clear that it was a separation of powers, "to the end it may be a government of laws and not of men". Thus, the phrase “rule of law” means that everyone, including those elected to office and the government itself, must obey written law and be held accountable to it as opposed to having a monarch, dictator, or tyrant claiming to be the sovereign possessing ultimate power and being immune from their actions no matter how bold and unhesitating: a law unto themself.”

“On September 17, 1787 after the signing of the Constitution of the United States, framed with the same Separation of Powers as the Massachusetts Constitution, as delegates were leaving Independence Hall, Elizabeth W. Powel asked Benjamin Franklin, ‘Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?’ He replied, ‘A republic, if you can keep it,’” In Section 1, of my model amendment language at the end of my Memorandum I include a full meaning of a Republic with the words of John Adams edited to say, "..., to the end it shall be a government of laws and not of any persons acting above the law, thus no monarch, dictator, or tyrant shall exist ..." Since there is a desire to name presidents especially ex presidents after places, I highly recommend that Donald Trump’s name is attached to every municipal trash dump in the nation. Example: The Donald Trump Washington Dump. My city; The Donald Trump Hartford Trash Heap. The West Palm BeachDonald Trump Trash Center of NonRecycleables.

That would be great, but trump has a copy write on the name so he could make money on anything named trump.

The "Tea Party" is the name that really angered me, especially when they called themselves "Tea Party Patriots." They are Corporatist Fascist RINO's. In my Memorandum cited above I state, "...ever since the Boston Tea Party in 1773, as in this present crisis, lowering taxes and regulations on powerful corporations is not the solution to our problem; lowering taxes and regulations on powerful corporations has always been our problem." That is what should come to the minds of Americans when they think about the Boston Tea Party.

J L Graham's avatar

My understanding is that a massive amount to tea belonging to the British East India Corporation, the same government allied corporatists who brutally subjugated India, was given a crony exemption from charging the Crown's tax on tea; which gave the favored company a tax/sales price advantage, and therefore vandalized. It was still an issue of taxation without representation, but in this case taxation unevenly and undeservedly applied to an obnoxious wealthy corporation. Not that anything like that could happen in the present.

I've made this comment several times before & I'll say it again, the republican party that I once knew, that I once was a member is extinct, dead and never to return to the principles of Pres. Lincoln. It's the maga cult and PLEASE stop calling them republicans

Kay Bell's avatar

What do we call them? A-sho-es? That's what I like. I don't like MAGA, but maybe that's it? They can't be called conservatives; they are not conserving; they are destroying.

EUWDTB's avatar

NEOFASCISTS. Because that's what they're called all over the world.

The difference between fascists (the 1930s ones) and neofascists is that neofascists learned from the defeat of European fascists. Hitler believed that he basically had to conquer and control the entire world, if he wanted to keep a fascist regime inside Germany. Neofascists have realized that that isn't necessary. As Putin's palace ideologue, Alexander Dugin, proposed, a much better alternative is to divide the world into a handful of huge neofascist empires. In that case, democracies won't try to fight back anymore, and negotiations and bribes will keep global peace.

This also allows each neofascist empire to cultivate a "religious" nationalism based on a fundamentalist, hollowed-out version of its OWN dominant religion (Christian Orthodoxy in Russia (with its USSR territory restored), Christian Protestantism in the Americas (north and south, all controlled by the US), Islam in the Middle East, etc).

Fascism is the opposite of democracy.

In a democracy, the three branches of government are constitutionally independent and separate. In a fascist regime, the power of the legislative branch (Congress) and the judiciary branch (the courts) is bundled into the power of the executive branch (the White House; not necessarily the president himself).

So when Mike Johnson said, a few months ago, that he sees the job of Congress to "codify the executive orders the president signed", so to turn them into law (rather than letting representatives of the people negotiate bills and then send them to the WH to be signed into law, as is the case in a democracy), he is literally telling us that he is a neofascist.

As to MAGA: that just a small movement created by Steve Bannon based on the worst lies he and Fox spread systematically, turning failed businessman and convicted criminal Trump into a hero. Usually, these people think Kamala Harris was a fascist, so they WANT democracy. And as many reports show, aside from the minority of Neo-Nazis and white supremacists among them, their rallies are mostly social events where they create a cult-like sense of "belonging". Often, these same people already leave Trump speeches long before they're over because they had a long day together with their MAGA friends already and just want to go home...

Dale Rowett AR OK VA PA NY's avatar

Kay, I suggest "trumpholes," given that trump and ass are synonymous.

I agree that MAGA is a misnomer, not to mention that repeating that acronym just serves to help Donald market his other brand (second to his own surname).

As with all other brands and themes advanced by that party, following their policies would definitely, emphatically NOT make America great. And truthfully, the U.S. has aspired to greatness, but has never fully achieved it, so there's no "again" to it.

MysticShadow's avatar

Keep stressing that the GOP is the fascist party, it has been actively undercutting our democracy for decades. I have only seen one Republican acknowledge the truth and apologize for his part in the election of Republicans. Anyone who ever backed GOP efforts to restrict voting, purge voter rolls and make it more difficult for anyone to vote is responsible for everything the party has done up to and Including today.

I consider the scientific method to be a conservative approach because it leaves room for doubt, like a "conservative" estimate, or investment. "Conservative" politics, or religion is hubris gone off the chart, It's hard to find anything conservative about it. In my view conservative self-questioning INTEGRATED with bold, imaginative thinking is the formula for beneficial and responsible innovation wild-ass ideas like the elasticity of space/time, with the evidence and calculation necessary to make it applicable, as Einstein was able. That's even true in it arts in the horsework it takes to crate something with impact and meaning that that is admired and conjured with for centuries.

Mark D Olson's avatar

I don't disagree but what should we call them? Authoritarians? Nazis? Christian nationalists? Anti Christs? Hypocrits? Anarchists? Insurrectionists?

Without trying to force my Christian beliefs on anyone else there is a Proverb of wisdom that I couldn't help but think of - Proverbs 26:27 "Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them." I think " trump's own" fulfilled that wisdom when they forced the Clinton's to testify.

Maybe "trump's own" instead of republican?

EUWDTB's avatar

Neofascists. That's what the ideology of the GOP leaders who use Trump as their clown in chief is called in the rest of the world.

J L Graham's avatar

"Now it is true that I believe this country is following a dangerous trend when it permits too great a degree of centralization of governmental functions. I oppose this — in some instances the fight is a rather desperate one. But to attain any success it is quite clear that the Federal government cannot avoid or escape responsibilities which the mass of the people firmly believe should be undertaken by it. The political processes of our country are such that if a rule of reason is not applied in this effort, we will lose everything — even to a possible and drastic change in the Constitution. This is what I mean by my constant insistence upon “moderation” in government. Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H.L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." - Dwight Eisenhower

Alas, Ike was not likely to have imagined that we would hand over control of media, election, and legislative outcomes to this current degree, to the Uber-wealthy. Note too how often it is those with very most advantage and property, who most passionately oppose any assistance to those less fortunate, even back then.

The full historical iriny here is that one the first two political “parties” formed in the US called itself the Democratic Republicans. You can’t make this stuff up!

Albert R. Killackey, Esq.'s avatar

The Democratic-Republican Party was formed in the early 1790s by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. In Section 1, of the model amendment of my Memorandum I include the meaning of a Republic, the people have the power and grant some of that power to a Government with separate legislative, executive, and judicial branches and through a democracy of fair elections elect persons to run that government. Thus the name "Democratic-Republican Party" sounds like a true American idea. UnitedWeAmend.org.

MysticShadow's avatar

It is not one person or small group of Republicans, it is the whole right-wing. Why do so many cling to the belief that it is only trump?

Why is it so difficult to see that it is far more massive than a small contingent of the Republican party? Wake up people, and realize the dire reality that we confront today. It is going to require a massive citizen uprising to save our democracy.

James Quinn's avatar

I think that such generalizations are problematic. While the Republican Party has been far more single focused that the Democrats, there are significant rifts there.

MysticShadow's avatar

If you were ever ok with the right-wing efforts to disenfranchise any citizen's right to vote, you are also responsible for today's fascist coup.

Undermining our democracy in any way is traitorous as far as I'm concerned. Maybe there are some who will see their collusion and try to make amends, but knowing many right-wingers over the past fifty years, I don't think many will.

Cindy Gailey's avatar

Gary, Especially sick! I think we should all get outside & turn over as many rocks as we can to free the folks hiding from the true reality!

James Quinn's avatar

Of course it was also John Adams who put in place the Alien and Sedition Acts, a blatantly unconstitutional law.

Albert R. Killackey, Esq.'s avatar

Patrick Henry who said "give me liberty, or give me death" thereafter tried to pass a bill in Virginia to tax people to support his church. Jefferson's Bill No. 82, "A Bill For establishing religious freedom" won. It was the later inspiration for the religion clauses of the First Amendment. It is a beautiful read. https://www.monticello.org/encyclopedia/virginia-statute-religious-freedom

James Quinn's avatar

Which Establishment Clause has been increasingly under attack by the Roberts Court for some years now.

Jefferson to me has always represented the complex and often contradictory of the American character. A slave owner who preached freedom and individual rights but who never believed black people at all equal to whites. A man who supported the French Revolution even after it had descended into bloody chaos. A man who thought we should completely renew our democracy every twenty years or so, somehow imagining that we could build a stable nation while espousing period revolutions in which every old rule was tossed out. A man always in debt because of his extravagant tastes. A man who preached limited central government until he was president, then was happy to use the power of the Federal government when he found it necessary.

We owe him much, no question. But I think he lived in a world of his own creation which sometimes had little relation to political reality.

Richard Coleman's avatar

Thomas Jefferson was complex. John Adams was complex. Context is important. The Alien and Sedition Acts may need further analysis.

J L Graham's avatar

If Presidents could do no wrong, why was Nixon preemptively pardoned (if blanket immunity is even what a "pardon" is)?

Albert R. Killackey, Esq.'s avatar

In Section 5, of my model amendment I write that the single executive (a President) be repealed and replaced with seven executives. Only the Attorney General, elected b y U.S. Citizens in a national US election, would hod the pardon power. Yet even then there must be new evidence supporting a reasonable belief that the jury would not have convicted if such evidence was presented at trial. Thus no such thing as a preemptive pardon, which I feel is B.S. on it's face to begin with. UnitedWeAmend.org

The Felon launched a major operation against Venezuela on January 3, 2026. Now, 8 weeks 0 days, or 56 calendar days later, he attacks Iran. The difference is Iran is the big kid on the block in the Middle East. My point is the Felon is unilaterally declaring war against a much stronger country. This may be a trend if we continue demanding the TrumpStein Pedo Files. Thus this Felon who demands the Nobel Peace prize has just committed another impeachable offense, under Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, a "high Crimes and Misdemeanors", e.g., an act of WAR ... AGAIN. All without Congress, which holds the constitutional power to formally declare war, as defined by Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution . Thus the Felon also committed a breach of the public trust also in violating his Oath of Office to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution." Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution. This is what happens when a Felon becomes President.

They are being allowed to engage in lawlessness throughout the world. Most of those within his administration are getting away with as much as they can for as long as they are able under his Presidency. I see no one stopping them.

Yes, Kamila! You've written it so I don't have to. 34% of the U.S. population identify as evangelical (which explains why Donald's approval ratings will remain in the 30s).

Evangelicals are horny for a war in the Middle East because their misinterpretation of the biblical book of Revelation states that "the Battle of Armageddon" will take place in the Middle East, in which Satan will be defeated once and for all, ushering in "The Millennium," the thousand years' reign of peace, during which Jesus will sit on a global throne. Per Reuters, trump admits some Americans may die. Per former CIA Officer, Marc Polyoperus on MS NOW interview, this War is a "regime assassination" strategy. Other lives & regions at enormous risk. No U.S. Congressional involvement.

Bryan Sean McKown,

Every day is scarier. We have self-centered idiots at the wheel who only see gain for themselves. They care nothing for the regular human beings trying to get through each day, find work, care for their families, help to provide a hope and a future for their children....care for our planet...our natural resources!!!!

Our military is being used for the personal gain of those who want to insight wars. Have they forgotten that those in the military also have families at home? Yes, those within the military signed up to serve but our leaders and citizens have the responsibility to fight when necessary, not to use the commitment of those within the armed services to line the personal coffers of greedy, lawless men and women! War destroys the entire infrastructure of countries and its people!!!! War destroys the future and hope of children.

Stealing resources from other countries is also wrong! The leaders of a country SHOULD use their resources to help build up their population ie better schools, improve healthcare, contribute to employment opportunities....etc.

We should be helping others, not stealing from others!

Bryan Sean McKown's avatar

Emily, I concur.🙏

Update from ABC's IAN PENNELL wearing a flak jacket on the perimeter of Tel Aviv. Reporter Pennel with his weathered face looked right at the camera & his audience & stated: "That no one knowns in this region" is how long in this military campaign will continue.

Days, Weeks, Months, Longer?

Loren, wonder if turnip hid underground at Maralogo! Pretty disgusting that he wouldn't even get to DC to meet with officials. Oh, wait! Most of the people in government are at their own homes and all the other military or state dept. folks are hiding. Great view for We the People. Thank you for the updates.

Georgia Fisanick's avatar

Write to you members of Congress today--NO WAR WITH IRAN. No Dead American soldiers in another twenty year war.

Jill Hastings's avatar

No war. We can’t afford it financially or morally.

Georgia Fisanick's avatar

We can't.

The country can't.

But it sure suits Trump as a distraction, and a reason to fund DHS because of the Muslim terrorist threat we now are exposed to domestically, and a reason to not send arms to Ukraine because we will need them for Iran which will be the quid pro quo for Russia not sending arms to Iran.

Loren Bliss's avatar

NYT analysts say some of the attacks are obviously intended to destroy the Iranian Air Force on the ground, thereby establishing USian air superiority, which suggests there are much larger actions to follow. (The psychics who claim Trump is the actual reincarnation of Hitler will no doubt take note of how Hitler identically employed his Luftwaffe to almost completely destroy the Red Air Force at the beginning of his Operation Barbarossa blitzkrieg.) My own biggest concern -- given Iran's military alliance with North Korea -- is Iran's possible use of North Korean rocketry to nuke the former United States. (See: https://www.unitedagainstnucleariran.com/north-korea-iran and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_nuclear_weapons ) I'll also not be surprised if Trump takes advantage of the chaos resulting from this war to invade Greenland, Panama, Cuba and possibly even Canada. The wild card is Russia; also closely allied with Iran, will it support the Islamist Ayatollahs or the ChristoNazi Plutocrats? Whichever, I cannot forget the prophecy voiced by my oldest half-brother shortly before he died. One of the founding directors of the EPA, he said the 2016 election of Trump was the beginning of the real end of the world. On this matter I have vacillated between belief and disbelief. But now it would not surprise me to discover we are witnessing the beginning of World War III -- an apocalypse inflicted by ChristoNazis who will literally destroy the world to prevent disclosure of the hideous magnitude of Trumpstein Evil -- which would certainly explain all the unknowns of the Regime's recent behavior, including the unprecedented morally imbecilic arrogance of Trump's appointees and the fact they've all taken residence in proximity to the bomb-proof underground compounds that reportedly define our military bases.

Amy Fradon's avatar

Loren, thank you so much for all your posts. I always enjoy your info and perspective. The only “correction” to this one is that I believe it’s Stephen Miller who is Hitler reincarnated. Completely. He is a stone cold sociopathic person. Trump is egoic and mean and entitled but I don’t think he’d come up with all these lethal strategies without Miller. Miller will push him to firing squads here on our soil if he sees the opportunity or if his puppet president gets his feelings hurt, too badly by some liberal. Stephen Miller is a near and present danger.

Georgia Fisanick's avatar

Russia is going with the Christo-Nazis. Putin alredy has the Russian Orthodox church captive. He has gotten all of the drone and missile tech from Iran that he needs and is building shahed-style drones in his own factories with newer tech dual-use parts coming in from China.

Trump is going to cop out on PURL contracts for weapons for Ukraine because he will critically need them for the war with Iran, so Russia gets a free hand in Ukraine from the US. Russia reciprocates and gives Trump a free hand in Iran. The US is currently conveniently removing all troops in left in Syria, so Russia could walk back in there if it so desired. The evacuation should be complete in a month.

Iran is too big a country, I think,f or the US to take out all of the Iranian Air Force in a first strike. I am sure they moved planes over the last week when the US threat grew, just like they moved the bulk of their enriched uranium.

If the US had been smart, it would have done what Europe has, and gotten drone tech from Ukraine to take out the Iranian Air Force on the ground with drones at far less expense. But Trump has too big a grudge against Zelenskyy to listen to any of his advisers like Razin’ Caine on that.

Loren Bliss's avatar

Thank you, Georgia, for awakening me to the fact drone warfare is revolutionizing 21st Century warfare in the same way the advent of rifling revolutionized 19th Century warfare; gotta give that some serious thought. Apropos Ukraine, I'd expect Germany, France and Britain to try to make up for Trump's betrayal, though their success would surely prompt Trump to sandbag NATO by invading Greenland and Canada. And I don't for a New York Minute doubt Trump has already secretly agreed to give Alaska back to Russia in return for Putin's help both in conquering Canada and using Russian troops to suppress dissent here at home. To follow this order-of-battle summary to a conclusion, Pakistan is a staunch ally of Iran, and after it deals with the Taliban problem in Afghanistan, I've no doubt it will join the war against Trump and Putin. India I'd guess will remain neutral. The proverbial elephant on the global chessboard is China; it plays its cards right -- that's assuming Earth hasn't already been nuked to a lifeless Martian barren -- it could emerge as the sole global benefactor, even more powerful than the U.S. was after V-J Day in 1945. Note too that instead of weaponizing AI to reduce human workers to death by starvation, China is doing something quite different with it: https://asiatimes.com/2026/02/china-building-a-different-ai-future-than-the-west/ That said, I'm probably still too much in shock to be thinking with maximum clarity, but I'm also too damn energized to go to bed.

Michele2's avatar

Excellent reporting Georgia.... Appalling and heartbreaking.. Zelenskyy is a hero... Hope the Ukrainian strategy can outwit Putin as it has before... Trump's "distractions"( i.e. threat of Epstein file contents) and dementia and lack of basic intelligence and being a puppet to Putin will keep him from making any sane decisions. Not to mention the maniacs like Miller, Vought, and Vance egging him on to try to save their own sorry souls from prison... Have to go...Thanks for always carrying a torch to help light our way...

Susan's avatar

Scary stuff Loren. Instead of trump being the reincarnation of Hitler I believe he is the antichrist. World destruction to follow. It makes me so angry thinking about all who are still supporting him because without that support he could be taken down. Then all the ugliness of the epstein files could be revealed.

Our worst nightmares are a possibility, let's hope it is a very distant possibility. The Iran attack is like opening Pandora's box. No one can foresee the consequences of this action.

lauriemcf's avatar

And it's also just plain wrong.

Georgia Fisanick's avatar

Yes it is just plain wrong. What I wrote are the excuses Trump and his minions will use to justify what they want to do anyway. Trump was thwarted in 1.0 on the Muslim bans. He is itching to take his second shot.

And he is pissed at Democrats on holding up funding for his private army of goons, and he will never ever ever forgive Zelenskyy for the first impeachment. So three birds with one stone...

Thinking like Stephen Miller, there is a small "bonus" in reducing minorities in a war, In the 17-41 age group (those in the enlisted age category) demographic in the military 55% are white compared to 69% in the general population.

32.5% of active-duty members identify with “racial minority groups” (DoD definition: Black/African American, Asian, American Indian/Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, multi-racial, and “unknown”).

20.4% of active-duty members are Hispanic or Latino (which DoD treats as an ethnicity and can overlap with any race).

Lynell(VA by way of MD&DC)'s avatar

Thanks, Georgia. I have contacted my 3 reps about "No War With Iran" for a few days now. AND, I trust all three (Democrats) can "walk and chew gum at the same time;" so have called for each of them to pressure DOJ to release the unredacted Epstein Files (Trumpstein), without survivor info. I have mentioned to them those files for many months now!

The United States and Israel attacked Iran on Saturday, according to American and Israeli officials, as multiple explosions resounded in Tehran.

Is this the beginning of the excuse the Feds need to take oversight of the 2026 election? Our "security" is at risk, therefore, only the Executive branch should control the states' right to control all elections?

This is what my spineless FL US MAGA Rep just sent when I asked him to sign onto the War Powers Resolution amend…it would be funny if it all weren’t so deadly serious.

“Legislation recently introduced in Congress to restrict the president’s ability to protect our national security interests around the world by amending the War Powers Resolution would infringe on his constitutional powers as commander-in-chief. I cannot support hindering the president’s freedom of action in cases where American lives and interests are at stake.”

Remind him/her of Article I Section 8 of the Constitution which he /she obviously hasn’t read, on the powers of Congress.

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

And I would ask him/her in all seriousness, if they would like you to send them a pocket copy of the Constitution so that they can check for themselves what it says and not be so egregiously and embarrassingly wrong about what their job involves. I would also send the copy of their response to you, and your response back to them to all the local media in your district, and the national media, and post it on Bluesky and Twitter. I would also send it to your district’s Democratic party leadership and tell them that you will write them a check (can be small) to help fund a mailing to all voters in the district.

You can’t get more powerful receipts that what you got back. Make sure it is used. Ask if they will go to Dover AFB to show respect to their dead constituents when the bodies start coming back home. Ask to be sent a photo to commorate the solemn moment.

Kathy's avatar

Thanks,Georgia! I did send a response, started with “you’ve got to be kidding” and then reminded him of his oath and duty to the Constitution.Although I’m not as eloquent/knowledgable as you.The kicker, he is a former college history professor…and very slick.IMO the worst kind of MAGA.

I have gone back and forth with our local Gannett paper OpEditor(his friend) and the Exec Editor about how they platform him by allowing Rep’s OpEd’s and favorable coverage with absolutely no pushback.I do write frequent Letters To Ed which are published.Perhaps after I caught OpEditor lying about “printing all letters received”.

Good suggestion to try national media.

I’m not on social media although have had great face -to -face convos with my messaging t’s and yard signs here in MAGA-ville.

Always appreciate your informative posts.

Heather gets all the indicators in line -- they are closing in on criminal rapist Donald.

But his final mission is in another ball game – subvert November’s mid-terms, arrogating all power to himself.

It’s illegal. Unconstitutional. The states have sole provenance over elections. But he’s intent on nationalizing them alone to be ruler for the rest of his life. Then through pardons, his corrupted enrichments for himself, and the spinelessness of all fellow Republicans, he can anoint the others who will divvy up bits and pieces of his empire after his passing.

How do the tens of millions of Americans still applaud such abject fascism?

Dems have avoided facing it, but they’re going to have to reform education so K-12 teaches more than passivity to standardized testing, and so that “higher” ed more than congeals to all the silos of neutered specialization.

We’ll have humanized standards not only when no American ever votes again for a bullying, raping murderer, but when students learn the apt citing of humanities so we all know how they enable most apt, most humane connections – never the trivialities of merely showing off oneself.

Yes, Apache -- helping Netanyahu kill and destroy nicely distracts, too, from Epstein.

But we must not discount the pure savage joy at the base of barbarians and murderers such as Donald, Netanyahu, Putin, and that entire phalanx so totally outside civilization.

And, too, still another dimension. In the same proportion as they're equipped with nothing human inside them, further joy mounts from the addition and convergence of further numbers: numbers of missiles sent flying, number of jet sorties, number of buildings blown to smithereens, and number of dead bodies.

And numbers of casualties. Numbers of mothers left crying over husbands killed, children killed, parents killed.

So much perverse intensity bestirring our zombie ogres, our ruling death trip elites all in consort with each other.

You don’t know why this is happening and neither do I. Nor does anyone. If it’s a “distraction” from Epstein, it’s the dumbest one imaginable. I can think of a hundred other things they might try first that don’t involve joining Israel in a new Gulf war. Whatever constituency out there that wants a joint war with Israel against Iran, it’s a damn small one. Not even MAGA wants this, despite their misguided views on virtually everything else.

Monotonous, repetitive screeds against “evil” where you mix the whole kitchen sink together with the kaboodle are poor substitutes for true investigation or analysis.

Phil Balla's avatar

Want "true investigation or analysis," ICTT (or, might any of Heather's readers?):

After the Powell memo of 1971, the first person to take a reckoning of the new corporate drift atop corporate academe was Wendell Berry, in his 1977 "The Unsettling of America." He looked especially at how corporate hegemons took over the once and long-venerable system of land grant colleges and universities.

There followed John Ralston Saul's 1992 "Voltaire's Bastards: The Dictatorship of Reason in the West." This looks at how our intellectuals have given in to the left-brain rule of the linear, abstracted, segmented, packaged, and programmed – all, of course, always dehumanized.

Christopher Simpson’s "The Splendid Blond Beast: Money, Law, and Genocide in the Twentieth Century" (1995) looked at how elites of the U.S. Ivy League led America’s biggest banks, utilities, and industries into investments and alliances with Hitler and his Waffen SS banks and industries.

Diane Ravitch's 2003 "The Language Police" examined – with dozens of pages of detailed appendices – the killing off of local, regional language in all corporate textbooks and standardized tests, in favor of the neutered only.

Jennifer Washburn's 2005 "University Inc.: The Corporate Corruption of Higher Education" summed up what had become by then absolute control by dehumanized, money-grubbing hegemons only.

Eliot Weinberger’s 2009 "Oranges & Peanuts for Sale" has three chapters on college humanities avoiding public issues: “The Arts and the Writer in Iraq” (2007); “The Post-National Writer” (2005); and “Poetry is News” (2003).

Jane Mayer’s “Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right” (2016).

Minae Mizumura has probed effects upon schools and artists in "The Fall of Language in the Age of English" (English translation, Columbia U Press, 2016).

Robert H. Lustig has most recently surveyed the reach of the living dead in corporate academe in "The Hacking of the American Mind: The Science Behind the Corporate Takeover of Our Bodies and Brains" (2017).

In 2020 Kurt Andersen published "Evil Geniuses: The Unmaking of America." This makes up for what he missed in his 2017 "Fantasyland: How America Went Haywire: a 500-year history." The earlier book covered how for long Americans entertained massive delusions. The latter book looks more at how elites from high finance especially have organized their evils. Andersen had failed to mention the Powell memo in "Fantasyland." He covers it here, but leaves out entirely its first campaign – the neutering of corporate academe.

Who gains, who loses, who wants this and why. This is no exception. You can name-drop until the cows come home. It’s not an explanation of anything, except the workings of your own mind perhaps. And nothing to do with standardized testing, of course, or public schools, the Gutenberg Bible or much else.

Trump is so dumb that he thinks a war time economy is. a good thing.

When Trump tore up the Iran deal crafted in 2016 by John Kerrey and others this day became inevitable. Our economy is tanking, every promise Trump made was a lie and the group of Americans that hate Trump the most are Independents. How weird is that?

How will China and Russia react when they are both tied to Iran? Does Trump's boss Putin know about this?

When Trump bombed the nuclear facilities last year he said he ended the Iranian nuclear threat. That cost us close to a billion dollars and apparently it was just another Trumpian lie.

And further, if they try to make more problems, they know that the US is waiting by to do whatever it needs to do to take care of that as well

I have friends Apache that are Muslims that hated Humani that were thrown out of the country when Humani took over by one friend was the doctor to the Shaw and they were exiled to England for a number of years and State. All that you describe underlines the need for deep societal reform. Trump and ilk are working overtime to see that women return to chattel status, owned by men and good for producing offspring only. As long as men think rape is a right, not a crime, we are looking at a society that cannot move forward towards equality for all. This is all about creating a new slave state with women and people of color in chains. They are a sick, demented bunch. They need to be held accountable, every one.

and patriotism while learning to knit squares for afghans for soldiers and how to flatten tin cans for recycling.

Remembering the introduction of multiple choice from time to time and hating it because of its ambiguities.

In third grade it was a distraction from the marionette stage in the classroom which was all about creativity.

Looking back at the education I got during and after WWII in a small (350 students grades 1-12) poor public country school, the preparation for college and university was so far beyond anything imaginable today in a similar setting, that my good luck at having been able to begin Latin and French simultaneously and have my first piano lessons at school, seems almost unreal in a world of standardized testing and now AI.

PT, read the Powell memorandum written in 1971. Lewis F. Powell was a corporate lawyer who wrote the memo to Eugene Sydnor, who chaired the Education Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The memo claimed that American business was "under attack" and outlined how U.S. business could "fight back." A primary thrust of Powell's strategy was to neutralize education in the U.S. You can download a copy of the memo here:

https://scholarlycommons.law.wlu.edu/powellmemo/

Powell used his subsequent position as a SCOTUS "justice" to further the cause of U.S. business attacks on education. The stupid approaches to education that followed originated in the Powell Memo.

The other big high-five goes to Anthropic’s CEO for standing up to the bullying from our Gov’t because their company had AI Safety Governance that Trump demanded they change.

The Pentagon vs. Anthropic: What You Need to Know (2/26/26)

https://youtube.com/shorts/VAQzjWeM1Dk?si=VBamGfjGgQ4ok2Fo

FEB 27 2026, Anthropic is resisting immense pressure from the Pentagon, unless they allow unrestricted military use of their AI models. CEO Dario Amodei stated they cannot "in good conscience" accede to demands that bypass their safety policies, calling the Pentagon's actions retaliatory and bullying.

The Stance: Anthropic refused to violate its constitutional AI safety policies, refusing to supply technology for ‘autonomous weapons’ or ‘mass surveillance’.

“Companies, especially technology companies, often fail to live up to their public statements and internal policies related to human rights and civil liberties for all sorts of reasons, including profit. Government pressure shouldn’t be one of those reasons.

“Anthropic should stick by their principles and refuse to allow their technology to be used in the two ways they have publicly stated they would not support: autonomous weapons systems and surveillance.” ~EFF

Hillary Clinton just completed yesterday over 6 hours of being legally deposed by 26 Republican Representatives and their army of staff who were trying their best to get her to say something they could use as political propaganda. They asked her about “pizzagate” a MAGA QAnon conspiracy theory accusing her of engaging in pedophilia in the basement of a pizza parlor that had no basement and that was fabricated to smear her reputation. But Hillary Clinton has a completely opposite history.

Hillary Clinton significantly advanced women’s rights throughout her career: as First Lady (1993–2001), she championed global gender equality, famously declaring "women's rights are human rights" in Beijing. As a U.S. Senator (2001–2009), she focused on economic equality, supporting the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and reproductive health access. As Secretary of State (2009–2013), she integrated gender issues into foreign policy.

The American Presidency Project

As First Lady (1993–2001):

Global Advocacy: Led the U.S. delegation to the 1995 U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, defining women's rights as human rights.

Family & Health Policy: Supported the Family and Medical Leave Act, advocated for increased childcare funding, and helped create the Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).

Public Awareness: Promoted health, safety, and education for women and children, including through her book It Takes a Village.

As U.S. Senator (2001–2009):

Equal Pay: Championed the Paycheck Fairness Act and co-sponsored the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

Health Access: Fought to protect access to emergency contraception and reproductive healthcare.

Workplace Rights: Advocated for paid sick leave and paid parental leave for federal employees.

The American Presidency Project
 +1

As Secretary of State (2009–2013):

Foreign Policy Pivot: Made women’s rights a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy, focusing on economic participation and reducing gender-based violence.

Institutional Change: Created the position of Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues.

International Action: Spearheaded initiatives to empower women, including in conflict resolution and economic development.

Someone with this history has about zero likelihood of being knowingly involved with pedophiles like Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. However she might in a news conference immediately after the exhausting interrogation show some signs of anxiety, anger, and fear of saying something that could be distorted or exaggerated into propaganda or a news reporters headline “scoop”.

Oh, how different things would be if the Electoral College jibbed with the popular vote and declared Hillary as POTUS-elect. She won the popular vote, after all, by some 7 million votes. Suspect the margin would have been larger, but so many folks fell for the Hillary-bashing rumors & negative press…she was kinda sandbagged IMHO. Oh, and she’s a woman. Sigh, then we (as a nation) shot ourselves in the foot again by not electing Kamala. The electoral college has no place in our day: everyone can travel to a voting booth these days, and the popular vote must be the one deciding who should become President. Our political system has become a joke; and a very ineffective one at that.

Sky Blue, when I look at the entirety of all that has transpired since Vladimir rose to power in Russia, I see him viewing himself as a great white or mako shark. They need to keep swimming forward to stay alive.

I think Vlad was focused on getting Donald into the White House, not because he was afraid of Hillary, but because Donald would be so much more useful as a vehicle to advance Vlad's interests.

I believe that history will eventually show that in 2016, Donald was already a Russian asset, owing to his longtime association with Russia through Bratva, the Russian mafia, in his business operations.

Hillary would have been an impediment, sure. But promoting Donald was of greater importance than stopping Hillary because Donald would help Vladimir continue swimming forward in his quest to control Europe. By all appearances, Vladimir was right.

The people that dislike the Clintons want to say that they KNEW Epstein and Maxwell so they must have been "involved". This shows a lack of critical thinking.

Epstein was an influence peddler and collected powerful people. Just talking to him at a business event, or even riding on a chartered plane that he owned doesn't mean guilt. The emails mention all kinds of people and businesses. Like, if you own a bakery and he mentions that he loves your scones.

I believe there were at least three levels of mention. The first level is the hot zone. The inner circle. THESE ARE ALL CRIMINALS.

The second level are movers and shakers that knew him in regards to their company, foundation, or campaign, but they did not go to the ranch or the island, or partake in criminal activities. The man was on a dozen boards. He knew EVERYONE. Should the powerful have somehow "known" he was bent? Not necessarily.

The third level, like my example of a bakery, where he mentions a product or celebrity he or they enjoy. These people have no real involvement at all.

Let’s let Sen. Wyden know we’ve got his back. Thank him for his leadership. And urge him to move his bill, S.2746, the Produce Epstein Treasury Records Act (PETRA) forward in the Senate.

Yes, Wyden deserves our thanks and support for his efforts and exposing these financial tentacles of the Epstein cabal.

Fifty years ago, then Hillary Rodham famously asked about Watergate, "What to the President [Nixon] know and when did he know it?

Half a century later. Hillary is asking a similar question, "What did the President [Trump] DO and when did he do it?

My favourite anecdote about how the Clintons met. Hillary Rodham was in the library and aware of being watched. She went over and said, "If you're going to stare at me you might as well know my name. It's Hillary Rodham. Who are you?"

Thank you Dr Richardson for your ongoing work and for this particular report. My 21 year old daughter Stephanie so bright, happy, fun athletic, artistic daughter OD on heroin laced with fentanyl June 2011. She made a bad decision although we know who likely deceived her. It’s been 15 years since and the US war on drugs has been a failure. A failure because wealthy men in power alienate themselves using middlemen to never be named all the while drug deaths nationwide continue and at one point were approximately 50,000 a year.

And NOW….we know Trump pardoned the largest drug lord for his trafficking tons of cocaine in to the US. And as you noted, ended the DEA’s investigation once back in office.

Hundreds of thousands of families have suffered such a tragic loss because wealthy, powerful men and women in government lie, steal and cheat to protect their secret….be it heroin, fentanyl, cocaine or young girls. They’re all connected people and it didn’t just start.

We live with it everyday. What they say and what they do……are 180 degrees apart! They will LIE to keep this cash rich, tax free

scheme alive while killing society.

We must start electing more honest, intelligent , capable , serious, responsible people to lead……“We The People”.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The loss of a loved one (especially a child) is forever heartbreaking. Please know that other humans acknowledge that kind of pain, having experienced it themselves.

Michael, I am so so sorry for your devastating loss.

I'm so sorry. A tragedy on many levels. But most of all, for your daughter, an innocent young woman, and her family.

Michael, not only what a tragedy - Stephanie's death, your loss, the loss to the family and community: I'm very sorry this happened. Saying her name personalizes this struggle for truth and accountability even more and (for me) turns this struggle/ resistance/ action into a fight for all of the Stephanie's -- and for all of the Epstein children (now women) whose names we may never know - though we're finally learning of their existence and entrapment: memories and tears also form for the Iranian people and the school children (again, girls primarily) killed today. Take care..

Michael, what a tragedy.. And yes -- I agree with you.

It seems however that our People in the states are challenged when we find ourselves in a situation that warrants "calling something and/or someone out": somehow, tragically -- we've confused "being nice" with looking the other way and not really seeing/ knowing what's being done.. In fact, where I grew up calling people out was what Yankees did: from memory, we also had a large population of closet alcoholics in the south.. We pay a high price to not know, what we know

Trumps purported war on drug dealers ties interestingly to these disclosures. Is trump trying to stamp out drugs or take control of their distribution. Trying to eliminate the problem or the competition?

GinaAM's avatar

Gary-That’s a great question. Targeting drug boats is really curious given other, more effective ways drugs are trafficked. According to the Epstein documents drugs clearly played a role in their human trafficking operation.

MysticShadow's avatar

Maybe trump was laundering money for that operation.

That could be where all that Russian financing for trump company was coming from.
