Voting for progress? Who would of thunk it? Damn sick of this prejudice in America, the melting pot, as long as your white it seems. Thank you Heather, you shine a bright light for all to see. Time to vote the played politicians out.

Safe travels, Heather! I was excited to see Rep Crockett defend voting rights and democracy at the won’t back down tour. Here is a song I wrote for her called “The Ballad of Jasmine Crockett”: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/the-ballad-of-jasmine-crockett

It’s great to have all this history in one easy listen

I agree, Christine, good to have it all here, at once. Even if it stuns us to our core. Maybe it's required of us, that we're compelled to listen, and to learn, finally.

I learn so much of our history from you. Thanks for all your work, erh... gift to so many concerned Americans.

And, very unfortunately, the Voting Rights Act has been whittled down bit by bit.

Use/share this spreadsheet (bit.ly/Goodtrouble) as a resource to call/email/write members of Congress, the Cabinet and news organizations. Reach out to those in your own state, and those in a committee that fits your topic. Call. Write. Email. Protest. Unrelentingly. We deserve better ❤️‍🩹🤍💙

Mother Jones’ (MoJo) take on the subject, excerpt —

Whenever the justices release their opinion, they will undoubtedly couch the decision in principles of fairness, equality, and even democracy. But the movement to destroy the Voting Rights Act is closely tied to the MAGA movement and the Republican Party it has taken over.

— Take, for example, the man who represents the non-Black litigant voters from Louisiana, who wrote the brief that the justices are likely to turn into law, a Missouri lawyer named 🪱 Edward Greim.

As I wrote earlier this year, “In 2020, Greim was one of the lawyers who tried to halt vote-counting in order to help President Donald Trump win the election. According to the Wisconsin Examiner, Greim later represented a fake elector 🔻 from Wisconsin who was part of the plot to overturn the election results.” According to Politico, he also represented seven witnesses before the January 6 Select Committee investigation.

There are different ways to rig an election. Trump’s attempted coup in 2020 was one of them. This is another. Neither is compatible with multiracial democracy as we have known for the last 60 years.”

Dear Heather ..what a great reminder of what bravery looks like. Thank you.⚖️

BTW...I do not mind if it's easier for an ally to read your written letters in rhe future. It’s a bonus if you read them as your time and energy are so precious. Only thing is I prefer a real person reasing as opposedto a bot - if that turns out to be the case in the future. Thank you again.⚖️

The work you is amazing. US government is fascist. Lewis is a hers.

Heather, you recently commented that you had well-protected yourself from right wing attacks on your stances. Please help the rest of us know how to do that as we protest against Trump’s vile antics. Thank you. Frank

Wonderful retelling of a shameful story. I won't say what I could do to the Supreme Court in one fell swoop (minus three of its Justices). Bravo Warnock.

The current administration, most assuredly , because it wishes it to be so, has Mr. Ostentatious at the helm of the ship of state. What could go wrong.

Now we are finding out. This electronic vote tampering should carry a life sentence. The Hi-Tec electronic election process has been and is being corrupted by non government entities by the behest of big money. Very big money. Because of this is supported by private corporate interests wreaks of monkey business, this type of business must be pursued by DOJ or rooted out and destroyed. This cancer can be stopped only by this method.

The either they fess up and take their punishment, really big fines come to mind. They all have plenty of money. Enough money, let them have 10% of their gross, they can have their freedom from incarceration but they never leave Epstein's Island. No SATS, CELL PHONES, NO MEDICAL CARE, NO INSURANCE BECAUSE THEY TRULY DO NOT DESERVE ANY BETTER.

Very tricky what the Repubs did by redrawing w/ minorities in mind and then challenging it because it was race sensitive ( because it seems NOW to be the issue). They are relentless and cunning and really want to win.
