TRUMP’S ENERGY CUTS AREN’T ABOUT POWER, THEY’RE ABOUT CONTROL
You know, I never liked windmills much. They’re big, noisy, and they don’t exactly look like a Monet painting. But I’ll tell you what I dislike even more: politicians who kill jobs, strangle progress, and call it patriotism.
Trump cutting billions from renewable energy right before Labor Day isn’t an accident. It’s ideology. Fascist ideology, plain and simple. You take working people, the very backbone of this country, and you make them dependent on billionaire oil barons and foreign dictators. That’s not leadership, that’s servitude.
They want us buying dirty energy at higher prices while China eats our lunch in clean tech. They want workers stripped of good union wages so ExxonMobil and Rosneft can make deals in secret. And then they have the gall to call it freedom.
It’s not about energy. It’s about control. And when government sides with fossil fuel oligarchs instead of its people, you don’t just lose jobs, you lose democracy.
Funny thing is, they call it American greatness. Looks more like American surrender to me.
EMERGENCY, not!. BLUE state governors hold the key to stop the assault of constituents. Too much is at risk to wait! Mobilize Blue state National Guards when threatened. Wait until then. The invasion of one state by another is a call to state Governors to mobilize their National Guards to resist an UNLAWFUL assault. The U.S. military should not accept UNLAWFUL orders, and should not be present no matter how good they are at spreading mulch and collecting trash. The sooner we get this over with, the better. This confrontation is coming. It is coming! REMEMBER JANARY 6th! They started this civil war right then. We are stronger now than we will be tomorrow. The confrontation is not a battle or a war. It is a standoff at State borders. One state would be trying to invade another. One is the offender. The other, the defender. Spare me the “you are inciting violence”. We all know TACO. Blocking a road at the border is not advocating violence, it is moving the conflict from the cities to the border, a much safer place for the state’s citizens.
Also, the gerrymander fight is on. There is a new playbook. The old rules have been struck down by the Supreme Court. We need to change the gears here as fast as possible for deadly PREEMPTIVE strikes. Newsom has moved out on this already. Who is next? Hochul. Where are you? NO EXCUSE! Change your state Constitution. Pritzker. What are you doing?

Geeky Science: How about hemp batteries. You can roll hemp, smoke it, eat it, wear it, and now power everything with it.
Thom is right in that sodium-ion batteries, which use the abundant element sodium for lower costs and resilient supply chains, and multivalent-ion batteries, which leverage more common elements like magnesium, calcium, and aluminum to achieve higher energy storage capacities can replace lithium.. Solid-state batteries are also a key area of development, offering enhanced safety and higher energy density by replacing liquid electrolytes with solid materials, though mass production remains a significant hurdle.
Scientists at a Texas-based battery technology company Bemp Research Corp, along with the University of North Texas, have discovered that not only do its Lithium-Sulphur (Lithium-Sulfide Boron Carbide, or LiS/B4C) batteries last longer than nickel or cobalt batteries, they are easier to recycle and less likely to combust if damaged.
But I like hemp. Porsche is already using hemp in manufacturing some of its race car parts, such as the doors, front fenders, and hood of the GT4 RS Clubsport race car. It is both strong and lightweight.
The ease and low cost of growing hemp could give Lithium-Sulphur batteries the potential to be a fraction of the cost and much more eco-friendly to produce (and recycle) than current batteries. Which is great for the planet.

I first thought it was an intentional flashback - but it has to be just a typo, and a subsequent mis-spoken error.
What is much more confusing is WHY would any leader of any developed country attempt to reverse course on a renewable energy project and creating unemployment, financial instability, and bring us closer to a global crisis.

Absolutely - one of the comments mentioned how heavy the batteries would need to be which sounds like it needs more investigation & research.
But boy if it was successful - imagine! Less "raw" material mining etc. and all the other issues it could solve.
I posted it on 3 different sites, thinking the more light of day it gets the better.
