We’ve heard this argument before. The Gilded Age dressed cruelty up as individual responsibility: government owes people little, suffering is personal failure, and protections for the public somehow weaken the country.

But apparently paperwork is an unbearable government burden when it asks the wealthy to disclose who owns a shell company, while perfectly reasonable when it determines whether someone struggling to survive gets healthcare.

The burden isn’t the problem. Who is being burdened is.

Fools. Knaves. Mountebanks. Incompetents. Liars. Criminal Donald sycophants.

They added $3,700,000,000,000 – trillion – to the U.S. national debt.

Heather's Letter today poses a short list of their predations. None of them did any good for the country. Their ICE and CBP thugs terrorized the country, in cold blood murdering U.S. citizens who’d done nothing wrong, letting dozens of brown-skinned people die in an extra-legal torture gulag of U.S. concentration camps. Testosterone Pete murdered 168 Iranian schoolgirls at Minab, murdered more helpless, poor Venezuelan fishermen. Elon Musk and his D.O.G.E. stooges wrecked government agencies only for the delights of drunken frat boys. Kash Patel got drunk and fist-pounded things. Turned Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool into fetid green algae swamp. Sold multi-million-dollar pardons to more genuine criminals for more criminal Donald profit.

$3,700,000,000,000 in new, extra national debt.
