"HE" sounds like a 6 year old when it comes to the truth. I get so sick and tired of him blaming others for his own mistakes and errors. Here is a person who should know better and he is also acting like a "thug" blaming the news for being False when the Truth is what we are hearing. I truly hope that people start believing the truth and seek it out where they have to, it's important for our country to reverse what is currently going on!
Our President is an expert in bankruptcy. Has he ever had any business he has not driven to bankruptcy? He is a parasite, an over grown tick who sucks the life blood out of everything he touches. Yet somehow he escapes unscathed.He is phoenix like in his ability to rise from the ashes but the wreckage he leaves behind resembles the California wildfire.

What matters now is survival, economic, political, and democratic. The economy is cracking: GDP is shrinking, jobs are vanishing, prices are about to soar. While Americans brace for impact, Trump rants about dolls and plays dictator with emergency powers he was never meant to have. His tariffs are nota strategy, they are sabotage, torching ports, gutting farms, and decimating jobs. And he blames Biden. This isn’t leadership, it’s chaos disguised as nationalism. Americans need stability, not a circus. They need truth, not propaganda.
April 30, 1975. the American invaders of Vietnam left on this day, those of us who served in what was then called South Vietnam and those who had family members who served, and everybody in our country who lived during the 1950's and 60's remember the chaos that unfolded the days before April 30th and right up until the last Huey flew out off the roof of the American Embassy remember that day.
I was in the Central Highlands in 1971, my February copy of Playboy magazine had arrived intact and after checking out the articles (sure) I saw a full page ad that showed an American flag draped coffin.
It was an ad for Vietnam Veterans Against The War. It started off with, "We are veterans of the Vietnam War. We have fought and bled from the swamps and hills of Vietnam to the plains of Cambodia. We have seen our bodies die there. And we can no longer remain silent."
At the bottom of the black and white page was a coupon to join. It was no cost. I filled the coupon out, put it in a envelope, wrote free on the right hand corner where a stamp would go if you were not in a war.
It took maybe two weeks to receive my membership card and a Vietnam Veteran Against The War button, both of which I still have. There I was an active duty Army E-5 a member of an antiwar group. After getting back to "the world" (what we called the states) I still had time to serve. I was able to live off base and joined FTA a group that Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland traveled around. FTA stood for "Fuck The Army" and to the Army stood for Fun Travel Adventure.
Once discharged I became a full time antiwar veteran.
Far too many march's to remember, court dates, tear gas. May 01, 2025 I stood for two hours holding my sign, "SUPPORT VETERANS FIRE TRUMP" This time I am bearing witness to stop the war on my country.
Granted I'm not running and chanting more like glad it was only 2 hours of standing on my one rebuilt knee while the other said, "you're too old for this shit" Guess what next to me was a 92 year old holding a support veteran sign sitting in a chair, his son said, "Dad has been standing up to evil for 75 years, and my knees no longer hurt.
People we got this, we can and will stop, this fascist takeover, it was not easy in 1971 and it won't be easy now. Power to the people, power to the people right on!
Yes this is a War on our country by our elected officials. It is very sad that that is the proper way to frame this administration.
Nixon lied and had people lie for him to stay in power (office) But he did love his country enough resign so we could heal and rebuild. It took his fellow Republicans to cause that to happen. This guy has no love of anything other than himself, so I don't see that happening.
David North: Don't know how old you are but Richard Nixon did not love his country so much that he resigned. Nixon lost the support of the Republican Party leadership and they were going to impeach him and convict him. It had nothing to do with loving the USofA, it had everything to do with his ego. I watched his speech when he announced he was leaving, he never once said he did anything wrong and was able to come back later in his life as a elder statesman. If much of the "stuff" being imported is not needed anyway, Per Trump. Then why would we build factories to make unneeded "stuff " here in the USA ? Just maybe, the reality is we buy a bunch of inexpensive stuff because we can, because it is affordable, and yea lots of it is frivolus.
If we made it here, it would not be inexpensive and we would probably do without because of the cost. If the ships are turning around now, already, then that proves the point that there is no market for much of these goods at a higher price point.
I only went to a mediocre college for two years, and even I can figure out this administration has zero economic trade policy. Or any other policy.
My point was just that when facing impeachment he resigned rather than go thru the ordeal which was maybe seen a a decent thing to do, Maybe he already had the pardon worked out with Ford. .
I do not think Trump will ever resign, even if he looses support of Republicans.

I am 69 and my age group was getting close. I think I may have gotten my first notice of the draft, but I am not certain.
