It's clear, however, from Trump's previous statements that he believes that states should be responsible for responding to natural disasters. Project 2025 recommmended severe cuts to the agency of around 20%.
Trump is putting Americans in danger by withdrawing support for those affected by natural disasters at at time when severe weather incidents are going to become more frequent and more intense.
It’s like every person who will suffer losses from a “natural” disaster now can only hope they live in a state with few such disasters. This when some states have to offer insurance of last resort (like Florida and California) since commercial home insurers are not renewing, canceling or not selling new policies. Co-King Donald and the MAGAts are giving a big middle finger to disaster victims, while denying the existence of climate change as “climate anxiety”! You might have a hard time getting an AI system to make this stuff up.
Perhaps Co-King Trumpty received a secret briefing on what would happen to California (when) the big one hits. The massive quake in Myanmar and Thailand provide a case in point on what loss and damage would occur, since the San Andreas fault (and other faults) are very similar in many ways to the faults in Myanmar. The only “good” difference is that more structures would hold together in Southern California, because there have been tougher building codes than in Myanmar. So Humpty D. Trumpty wants to deny federal assistance even a calamity such as that. Would a Republican-leaning state fare better? Maybe not!
Hurricane season begins around June (although these days one never knows) so let's wait and see for how long Trump can ignore global warming when storms are pounding southern states like Texas, Louisiana and Florida. It is almost impossible to believe any US president could possibly be so subservient to the war criminal who is our greatest adversary. Then Trump excoriates Zelensky for not accepting Putin's demands. Why is Trump so subservient to Putin? Is it because he so wants to emulate the cruel all powerful dictator? Was the "Steele Dossier" factual? Does he see a world in which the US and Russia are all powerful empires? Whatever it is that drives Trump to be a lapdog to Putin must be compelling indeed.
If Trumpty had wanted to stop Putin’s aggressions against Ukraine, why didn’t he find a successful way to do it in his first term? No; thanks to the good Doctor, we now know how deeply he was in bed with Putin the whole time, before then, then as Pwesident, and ever since. He might as well have sent the little green men there himself; he did not succeed in stopping the aggression, because he never tried to do anything that Russia opposes, then as now. So Humpty’s weakness at negotiating is the main cause of death and destruction in Ukraine today. Obviously, he cannot end this war because he doesn’t know how to negotiate such a complicated deal, and neither does Rubio, Witless Witkoff, Kellog, or pitiful Pete “Signal Boy” Hegseth! I commend Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy for telling these incredibly stupid Americans that nothing they have proposed is acceptable. After all, why should Ukraine trust anything proposed by the U.S. now, when we failed to protect Ukraine as promised in the Budapest Agreement (except efforts back to Trump 1.0, such as providing lethal weapons and trying to extort Zelenskyy, which got him his first impeachment. The only people in a position now to help Ukraine are the European (civil) Union.

Education is the foundation for everything. The saying is 'give a man a fish and he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime. ' Something like that. Trump can't read or doesn't understand what he reads, so whoever is pulling his strings reads the Executive Orders to him. He certainly isn't reading them, but can sign his name.
