It is SO IMPORTANT for our young people to HEAR ABOUT THE TRUE HISTORY OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY. Otherwise they are likely to forget and continue to repeat the same mistakes that have brought us to our current moment in time.
Until Trump administration officials face real jail time and fines and are beyond Trump's power to pardon, nothing is going to move this administration to moderate its lawless behavior. Question: May a president put aside a criminal contempt finding of a Federal Court? This assumes that the Supreme Court doesn't do it for him...a big assumption.
He says that if the government interferes with the enforcement of a contempt order or continues to stonewall his court then he will appoint an independent prosecutor to do it.
In the Abrego Garcia case, judge Xinis is valiantly trying to track down who in the administration is refusing to comply with the SCOTUS ruling that Garcia be returned to the States, allowing his lawyers extensive discovery and power to depose specified officials based on the results of the discovery. So she's approaching contempt proceedings in a similar deliberate and rigorously fair way.
You may be right about the Supreme Court, although professor Steve Vladeck suggested in an interview with the New Yorker two days ago that the court is desperately trying to avoid going toe-to-toe with Trump. He does point out that the court did emphatically (9-0) reject the administration's policy of summary deportation of people alleged to be gang members.
Candidates for a “notice to appear” (as ordinary citizens, or else in their official capacity): Russel Vought and Stephen Miller, and Humpty D. Dumpty, the Pwesident of El Dumpty’s America!
Unfortunately, judge Boasberg's contempt proceedings were administratively stayed in a 2-1 ruling on the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. It's perhaps significant that Trump-appointed Judges Gregory G. Katsas and Neomi Rao ruled in favor of the pause, while Obama-appointed Judge Cornelia Pillard opposed the stay. They said they need more time and that it was not a ruling on the merits, but as judge Pillard pointed out there was no appealable order or right to relief on the part of the contemnors. In other words, the court had no basis for staying the proceedings. This is how far corrupt judges are prepared to go to protect Trump. Remember Aileen Cannon in the documents case?

It seems to work as Judge Xinis weaves her requests to seek the responsible ones for stonewalling in the Abrego Garcia case. Someone will weaken especially under oath. It's ridiculous to act so blatantly heinously. To the crowd, Miller needs to repeat and repeat sadly lies and inaccurate generalities with percentages--it's his only approach. He should be called to explain and with prison as a result of lying so horribly this time; the first regime he was able to hide. This time, regime #2, he is more exposed and that's good. Is he a lawyer? If so, he'll be disbarred along with all of Don's other lawyers who went to prison and/or were disbarred after regime #1. I am fearing for Abrego Garcia's health and hope the senator visiting to check on AG's welfare will be able to pry him from the El Salvador prison. Then, the able ones can check on getting all out--a win for the dictator there for the time being after the long court cases for all of the imprisoned are done.

If a violation of civil rights ever existed, this incident qualifies an example of one of the worst.
It must be understood by everyone incidents such as this are exactly how authoritarians start iron fisted rule.

The responsibility for addressing this situation fall directly to republicans. Their failure to address these problems much be addressed by the courts. Hopefully we will see the SCOTUS will perform their tasks related to their responsibilities with the serious direct and urgent actions called for.
Someone posted a supposed restraining order from Garcia's wife, supposedly on the Homeland Security page though they only gave a screenshot..No idea if it is authentic or fabricated. Curious on your insights. This was something a friend posted on my page in response to my changing my fb profile page to Garcia.
